Mannheim, September 28, 2026 – RKW Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. The report documents progress in the areas of climate change, circular economy, and social responsibility, and shows how RKW strategically integrates sustainability into corporate management, innovation, and operational processes. Further evidence of this progress is the company’s EcoVadis Gold Medal award in 2026. This places RKW among the top 5 percent of companies assessed worldwide.

“Sustainability is a core element of RKW’s strategic direction. We develop solutions that combine performance with responsible resource use, and we support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals in a reliable and practical way,” says Eric Le Lay, CEO of RKW Group.

In 2025, RKW achieved its goal of reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50 percent compared with the 2017 base year. On a market-based basis, emissions in the reporting year were around 59 percent below the baseline. At the same time, the company sourced around 56 percent of its global electricity consumption from renewable sources.

RKW also made progress in advancing circular solutions. The share of recycled, renewable, and biodegradable materials in the product portfolio rose to 15 percent. Among other developments, the company introduced a recyclable multipack shrink film with 35 percent post-consumer recycled content from household waste, the Rondotex Perspective round bale net with more than 25 percent PCR content, and its first films based on ISCC PLUS-certified chemically recycled raw materials.

The report also shows that sustainable transformation at RKW is closely linked to corporate culture and responsibility. More than 2,700 employees at 16 sites worldwide shape the company through their perspectives and commitment. At the same time, the TRI rate declined from 65 in 2020 to 25 in 2025.

With a view to further decarbonization, RKW submitted new climate targets to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for validation at the end of 2025. The submitted targets aim to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 54.6% and Scope 3 emissions by 32.5% by 2033, compared with the 2023 baseline.

RKW’s EcoVadis Gold rating in August 2026 also underscores the company’s continued progress in sustainability performance across the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
