Harald Biederbick, CEO of the Board at the RKW Group

Harald Biederbick

CEO

With a background in finance and controlling, Harald Biederbick has been CEO of the RKW Group since 2014. Leveraging more than ten years of board level experience in cross-sector, multi-national companies, he has successfully driven strategic change processes and complex business turnarounds resulting in bottom-line growth. In addition, he oversaw multiple international end-to-end M&As (Europe and North America) including raising of funding.

After studying in Cologne, Paris, Oxford and Berlin, Harald completed a degree in business administration. He started his career in banking and then moved into the automotive industry, working both in Germany and the US. He joined RKW in 2007 as Director Corporate Finance & Administration and was appointed CFO in 2009.

Knud Müller

Executive Vice President

As Executive Vice President, Knud Müller assumed responsibility for all Finance related matters on the RKW Executive Board in April 2021.

The Finance MBA joined us from the US-based Danaher Corporation, where he held a number of management positions in both Germany and the United States since 2007. Prior to that, Knud Müller worked at the Siemens Group for more than ten years in various international positions.

In his new role, the finance expert is focusing on driving transparency, ownership, focus and continuous improvement while continuing the profitable growth course of the RKW Group.

Dr. Alexander Wansel

Executive Vice President

Spending almost his entire career as executive leader in the operations of process and packaging industries, Dr. Alexander Wansel joined RKW in 2020 as Executive Vice President Operations.

With a PhD in production engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology, he co-founded a start-up and worked in different management roles in Europe and South America, frequently mentoring and developing young talent.

With a strong focus on quality, service and cost, Dr. Wansel has successfully implemented global Operational Excellence programs and embedded the lean philosophy as sustainable driver for a company’s competitiveness.
