We at RKW are fully committed to our responsibility towards society and the environment. Furthermore, we have set ourselves ambitious sustainability targets and are continuously working to contribute to a more sustainable future.
We have exceeded our Strategy 2025 target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 50% versus the 2017 baseline. We remain committed to further reducing emissions in line with our science-based targets, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Our sustainability strategy is guided by ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and contributes to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular focus on SDG 8, SDG 9 and SDG 12.

RKW Joins the UN Global Compact
RKW has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. By joining the UNGC, RKW is strengthening its commitment to responsible business practices and to aligning its strategies and operations with the UNGC’s Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. This step also supports our broader ambition to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Joining the UN Global Compact marks an important step in RKW’s sustainability efforts and provides a recognized framework for further embedding responsible business practices across the company.
RKW will continue to build on this commitment through implementation, continuous improvement and communication on sustainability-related progress.
