Mannheim (Germany), July 4, 2023 - In mid-June, RKW received the German Brand Award for its launch marketing campaign: #ExpandYourHorizon for the innovative RKW Horizon MDO-PE film.
The German Brand Award is a competition of the German Brand Institute and makes brand successes visible. The Institute was founded by the German Design Council and GMK Markenberatung. With the German Brand Award, the institute awards one of the most important German brand prizes.
RKW received the German Brand Award "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation” in the category “Brand Communication 360° Campaign". The innovative portfolio of MDO-PE films are polyethylene based, dedicated for laminate structures with sealing PE layers, creating fully recyclable mono-material solutions.
RKW Horizon® is a 100% PE film with high transparency and high stiffness, dedicated as a printable outer layer in laminations with low SIT heat-sealable PE films. “The film is mainly used for packaging of confectionery, snacks, coffee, tea and frozen foods, but could also be used for packaging in the non-food sector for pet food, cleaning agents and detergents. It combines outstanding product properties such as high flexibility and rigidity as well as easy processing and printability” explains Konrad Noniewicz, Coordination Director AE and R&D.

The innovative MDO-PE films are produced at the RKW site in Petersaurach on the latest Nine-layer extrusion line.
