The RKW product portfolio for the horticulture industry includes early harvesting films, greenhouse films and the innovative RKW HyJet® crop cover. In addition, the RKW Fruit Pad for packaging fruits such as berries and other packaging and transport protection films are part of the product range that will be exhibited for visitors to Europe's leading trade fair for asparagus and berry production.
RKW HyJet® Crop Cover – Robust and Stable
Thanks to its special design, RKW HyJet® offers a high degree of reliability and flexibility compared to conventional nonwovens. Even in strong winds, RKW HyJet® lies evenly on the plants and minimizes wind damage. The excellent water distribution and optimal light and air permeability also support a favorable growing climate for the plants. In addition, RKW HyJet® is very durable and can be reused for three to four seasons, depending on the application. This saves costs and protects the environment. The quality feature tear resistance was confirmed by the Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI) using a tested test procedure.
RKW early harvesting films for optimal crop protection
The wepelen® brand stands for reliable early harvesting protection films. Wepelen® early harvesting films promote the growth of temperature-sensitive crops and guarantee perfect protection – not only for early crops. wepelen® Climaplus is characterized by perfect thermal conditions. The special formulation reduces the temperature gradient between day and night and thus offers excellent growing conditions. Wepelen® Climastretch impresses with maximum elasticity, contributes to healthy plant growth and is particularly suitable for tall-growing crops. With wepelen® Climatec, RKW offers a high-performance early harvesting film that provides perfect protection for the crop. Its high strength values make wepelen® Climatec a reliable companion for high crop yields. The portfolio of early harvesting films is rounded off by wepelen® Climatop, a film that was specially developed for tulip cultivation. With PRO-TECH BIO Carrot, RKW also has an early harvesting film specifically for growing carrots in its portfolio. The combination of transparent, macro-perforated film and strips of black, light-impermeable film ensures rapid carrot growth due to the thermal and herbicidal effects of the special product structure.

RKW FruitPad – The sustainable packaging for berries and herbs
The new recyclable, multilayer RKW FruitPads feature a unique combination of polypropylene layers. The multilayer, adhesive-free structure ensures optimal cushioning of the fruit, as well as a dry and ventilated surface. When stored in a dry place between 2°C and 4°C, fruit stays fresh up to 48 hours longer than with conventional alternatives. The RKW FruitPad also scores in terms of sustainability: the extended shelf life ensures less product loss. What is more, the pads are recyclable.
RKW Pallet Nets – Optimal Protection for Sensitive Crops
Fruit and vegetables, as well as sensitive crops, can be transported safely with RKW's Rondotex® pallet nets. They combine maximum stability with consistent ventilation, thus maintaining product freshness. With Rondotex® NET and Rondotex® ELASTIC pallet nets, RKW offers two optimal solutions for pallet packaging of fruit and vegetables as well as other sensitive crops such as rolled lawn turf or lucerne. Consistent ventilation prevents condensation and enables faster cooling. It is also possible to fumigate the goods at any time without difficulty. Rondotex® NET has an outstanding tear resistance of up to 750 N, while Rondotex® ELASTIC enables fixation with a memory effect.
