Market/Portfolio Manager Segment Industrial Solutions (m/f/d)

Your contribution

  • Technical and commercial creation and continuous maintenance of a (global) Industrial Solutions product portfolio aligned with Sales, Marketing and R&D  (Portfolio Management) that drives the growth and the profitability of this business segment
  • Further push of the standardization / harmonization of the product portfolio to improve efficiency and ensure competitiveness 
  • Providing input for product specifications (Lastenheft) and support of R&D regarding the implementation of the specifications in the different plants
  • Product positioning of new and existing products together with Sales, Marketing and R&D (Preparation of product strategies incl. go to market strategies, roadmaps, market roll-out concepts and product marketing plans, influence on international product road map)
  • Assisting the creation of a marketing, sales and technical product documentation especially with regard to benefit and competition counter arguments 
  • Market observance and analysis, product-specific competition observation and comparisons as well as customer problem and customer benefit analyses with regard to the product area in question together with R&D and sales
  • Provide pricing guidance to sales and develop of a common price list together with sales and controlling
  • Establishing Product Management in the area of Industrial Solutions including the definition of processes, standards, templates and tools
  • Coordination function between Sales, Production and R&D: Communications and know-How interface
     

Your strengths

  • Minimum BS/BA degree in a technical related area or similar
  • Preferred knowledge of flexible packaging and/or plastics/extrusion
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a market manager/product management position , managing a “technical” product portfolio
  • Excellent business understanding
  • Good knowledge in sales & marketing especially in understanding market and customer requirements and developing of go to market strategies successfully 
  • Excellent understanding of customer and market needs
  • Ability to derive and formulate value proposition of technical products 
  • Excellent methodology and project management skills 
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation and convincing skills
  • The ability to handle and present complex topics and present them in an understandable and structured way
  • Identify and track success metrics 
  • Intercultural competence 
  • Business fluent in English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
