Head of Sales Controlling (m/f/d)

Your contribution

  • Report on sales and marketing performance in the segment based on advanced analytics (big data analysis of order data, invoice data and qualitative sales data)
  • Identify Sales deviations at customer-/material code level (or RKW Code for the Budget) from target and PY (Selling prices-NCM1&2, Gross Profit, Volume & mix effects). Main deviations checked with Site Controller and submitted to Sales in an ad-hoc report.
  • Prepare together with Sales Managers Forecast & Budget Reports checking the correctness and reliability of the data
  • Analyzing Finished Goods to help Customer Service and Sales in decreasing Inventory (focus on slow movers, follow-up of the actions in progress)
  • Support business development projects and volume hunting in close collaboration with the sales teams
  • Challenge Commercial KPIs (Overdue Receivables, Order size, Order Intake volume, new Customers, Forecast accuracy) to evaluate performance
  • Provide support to Divisional Controllers e.g. by preparing monthly/yearly presentations 
  • Quarterly Check of the Customer Bonus accruals

Your strengths

  • Bachelor degree or comparable education
  • Very good knowledge of German & English
  • Working  experience in controlling and/or sales in a similar position
  • Experience in performance management tracking
  • Highly analytical, comfortable working with a wide range of data sources, making fact-based decisions, recommendations and forecasts
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-tasking
  • Consultative approach to identifying, assessing and prioritizing requirements
  • Knowledge in CRM tools is plus
