New headquarters, new ways of working
More flexibility and creativity thanks to multi-space offices

All day at the desk, closed office doors, little room for creativity and cross-functional collaboration - that's how many have come to know everyday work in companies. New concepts are needed to break down silos and find innovative forms of collaboration. The RKW Group has implemented this at its new headquarters in Mannheim.

Goodbye, individual offices - welcome to "Activity-based Working in Multi-Space Offices". But what exactly is behind these buzzwords? First of all, this: More space for communication and creativity. Because similar to startups, RKW is relying on flexible, task-based use of office space at its new headquarters. In concrete terms, this means that in addition to the usual desks, there is now the option of selecting the work location depending on the task at hand: Multi-functional rooms for team meetings, small "cubes" for focus work, lounge-like meeting corners for exchanges in pairs - just three of the many possibilities offered by the new concept.

To ensure that all colleagues really benefit from the approach, RKW has invested in technical equipment for the new headquarters. Wireless headsets, two monitors per workstation, laptops and fast Internet are just as much a matter of course as generously sized break zones. The location itself could not be more ideal: situated directly at the Viernheimer Kreuz interchange, the new company headquarters is directly connected to the A6 motorway and is therefore very easy to reach.

"The new corporate headquarters is more than just a building. It stands for a modern form of togetherness and cooperation," says CEO Harald Biederbick. "Together with our customers and partners, we work on sustainable solutions that improve the lives of consumers around the world. To do this, we need an environment that promotes creative exchange while taking into account the individual needs of our colleagues." And that's exactly what the new RKW Group headquarters represents."

Due to the current pandemic situation, most colleagues are working from home. They are looking forward all the more to the time after Corona, when we can use the office "properly" and be creative together.
