Gronau, March 13, 2026 – The RKW Group has commissioned a modern converting line for nonwovens at its Gronau site. With this investment, the company is expanding its production capacity for the RKW HyJet product line—hydroentangled spunbond nonwovens for diverse and demanding applications in various industries.
The new line will make processes at the site significantly more efficient and flexible, enabling customer requirements to be met even faster and with consistently high-quality standards. The project was driven forward by the interdisciplinary team at the Gronau site under the leadership of Christopher Achteresch, Expert Electrical Engineering at RKW, who was responsible for implementing the new crop cover converting line.
"This investment is an important step in our strategic orientation," adds Dennis Timmlau, Vice President Sales & Marketing Agriculture. “With the new line, we will be able to provide our agricultural customers with even better customized, sustainable solutions and further expand our position as a leading supplier of innovative nonwovens.”
The expansion not only strengthens the entire value chain at the site, but also opens up new opportunities for the team in Gronau—from expanded areas of responsibility to qualification and training opportunities in the use of state-of-the-art site technology.
The investment is part of the RKW Group's strategic focus on continuously investing in innovative technologies and production capacities in order to provide customers worldwide with high-quality, customized solutions. The new converting line is a key component in ensuring the future viability of RKW HyJet® and underscores the company's commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer focus.
