Expert Application Engineer Consumer Packaging (m/w/d)

Your tasks
- Consulting and technical support for customers in the field of consumer packaging with a focus on flexible packaging solutions and processes
- Expert guidance in product selection, conducting trials, qualification processes, as well as error analysis and troubleshooting
- Independent development of solutions for processing issues with our film products
- Support in the development of new products up to successful market launch
- Acting as an interface between research and development, production, sales, and marketing with close collaboration
- Designing and conducting training sessions for internal and external target groups
- Analysis and evaluation of field data for the continuous optimization of products and processes
What you bring to the role
- Degree in mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, chemistry, process engineering, or packaging technology
- At least 5 years of professional experience in film processing
- In-depth expertise in film processing, particularly in the areas of lamination, printing, slitting, sealing, and bag making
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Know-how in handling film properties (e.g., DSC, FTIR, modulus of elasticity, MFI)
- Confident use of digital tools and data analysis
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and flexibility
