RoofTopGuard Breather – New product that provides excellent durability and breathability

The RKW Group presents its complete program of synthetic roofing underlays at the International Roofing Expo 2020

Franklin, January 21, 2020 – The RKW Group will attend the International Roofing Expo on February 4-6th in Dallas (Stand: #6508) and present its program of synthetic roofing underlays. Our roofing products are well known, valued and have been marketed for many years now under the brand “RKW Rooftopguard” in the North American market. The highlight of this year’s expo will be RKW Rooftopguard breather – a synthetic roofing underlayment - that is breathable and optionally self-adhesive.

The new product, RKW RoofTopguard Breather, consists of nonwoven and film layers and is revolutionary because, compared to other breathable products, it offers significantly higher permeability (Perm Value is 180) and a water resistance up to 500 mb (>7 psi). The roofing underlay is designed to improve the indoor climate of buildings and helps to reduce the moisture inside the roofing system, which can cause mold, mildew, and expensive structural damage.

Safety first. Roofing professionals benefit from the underlay’s non-slip Fiber-Grip^® surface which provides enhanced walkability especially on steeper-pitched roofs. Creases are also outdated with RKW Rooftopguard products because roofing can be laid flat and securely to ensure a uniform appearance.

Lightweight & faster installation. The comparably low roll weight of the new RKW Rooftopguard Breather product at 23 lbs per roll of 900 square feet, simplifies handling and allows the underlays to be fitted approximately 30 % faster than comparable competitor’s products.

Breathable, strong & weather-resistant. RKW RoofTopGuard products are exceptionally strong, durable, completely waterproof and weather-resistant and didn’t tear when tested in very strong winds. They are available in peel and stick versions with the adhesive under a pullback liner. This simplifies application on steep roofs.
Furthermore, the material is resistant to insects, vermin, rotting and mold. Even large stocks do not need special storage arrangements because the underlays, which are delivered in rolls, can be stored outdoors for up to six months.

Marketing. RKW´s roofing underlays are printable. This offers excellent marketing opportunities directly on the roof during installation. RKW offers a limited 50-year warranty on its RKW RoofTopGuard products.
