RKW Talent Development Program
From the project idea to the board presentation

What gets you out of bed every morning? What drives us, what common goal motivates us in our daily work? For the members of RKW's Talent Development Program, the answer is easy this week: for the chance to present their project work to the board. Some 30 (future) leaders have prepared for this in small teams over the past few months - just one of many offers with which RKW supports high-potential employees.

But first things first. The Talent Development Program was launched in February at a two-day workshop held together with the ESCP Europe Business School in Berlin. The focus was on a range of topics from the leadership spectrum: from the challenge of global and diverse teams to questions of intrinsic vs. extrinsic motivation and RKW's leadership principles, our Leadership Standards.


These principles, but above all the courage to change and to develop personally, shaped the subsequent project work. Embedded in the internal change program RKW Excellence, the participants dealt specifically with the collection and sharing of internal knowledge, with communication platforms for employees, key figures for standardization and process optimization, technology databases and many other topics.

This week, Executive Board presentations were scheduled, for which members of the RKW Group's Executive Board took an hour's time - per team! The individual pitches were (of course) presented virtually - but this did not detract from the quality of the contributions and the subsequent discussion. And of course there was a winner in the end - which team or teams took the lead with which project will be revealed in one of the next episodes of this career blog.

The Talent Development Program continues with an online networking event. And of course, the participants hope for a second on-site workshop in Berlin in early October - depending on the current Corona situation. More information on this will be available here soon.
