RKW Group Receives Award for First Sustainability Report
Reporting Excellence
Frankenthal, August 5, 2019 – The RKW Group has won the prestigious LACP Vision Award for its first sustainability report. Every year, the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) singles out annual reports in a number of different categories for its awards. This year, submissions were received by around 1,000 companies and agencies from over 20 countries.
Together with Berlin-based strategy and communication agency Smack Communications, the RKW Group received an LACP Silver Award and an award presented to the top 20 reports in Germany. The LACP also presented the sustainability report with the Technical Achievement Award in acknowledgment of its general excellence in reporting and for “outstanding production values” in its presentation.
RKW Group Communications Manager Dr. Susanne Herchner, who was responsible for this project, said: “We are delighted to receive this award, particularly since this is the first time that the RKW Group has produced a sustainability report. In this way, we want to demonstrate to our customers and partners – and to the general public – how we at RKW view the question of sustainability and to show them the diversity of ways in which our Group is taking responsibility. Sustainability is an integral part of our company policy and business mission. As a leading film manufacturer, RKW actively takes responsibility for preserving a healthy environment. And our first ever sustainability report conveys very well how we go about this.”
The sustainability report is being constantly enhanced and will be updated once a year in future.
