Director Sales Industrial Packaging (m/f/d)

Your contribution

  • Manage, organize and drive the sales processes and activities within the product-line. Contribute to optimizing back office processes by providing the head of back office with according input. 
  • Responsible for achievement of product-line sales targets and profitability including budgeting, forecasting and controlling. Support for contracts and negotiations with customers and responsible for pricing. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quota for regions and territories.
  • Constantly adapt sales volume, product mix, and selling price to market requirements; keep up with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Establish and adjust selling prices on the basis of cost monitoring, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Ensure business development in new markets. Provide input to the business development manager and to R&D concerning new business in the different regions.
  • Participates in trade fairs, customer events and internal sales meetings

Your strengths

  • Completed university degree in business administration or similar
  • At least 7 years of work experience as a sales director, preferably in a related industry (Raw material, plastics etc)
  • Extensive knowledge in sales strategy development, implementation of sales & marketing strategy and key account management
  • Solution-orientation and pragmatic drive for action paired with strategic mindset and cost awareness
  • Extensive knowledge of change management, leadership skills and people management skills paired with high results orientation 
  • Social and intercultural skills paired with persuasiveness and communication abilities
  • Business fluent English and German; an additional European language is welcome
  • Willingness to travel worldwide up to 60%
